Ik die dacht dat een politieke partij zijn strepen moest verdienen, in de loop der jaren, met hetgaan zij als partij bereikt heeft. Wel, Wouter Beke, ondervoorzitter van CD&V opent hier even mijn ogen en laat zien dat het CD&V enkel maar om de kiezer te doen is als er verkiezingen zijn. Dit neigt wel heel sterk naar hypocrisie.

Yesterday I joined my wife to the vet to have the kitten checked. I never went near a vet in my life, I know why now, ever waited an hour in a waiting room with 3 big dogs and another cat :)

The kitten is declared healthy and treated against fleas. So no worries then.

Fun kitten

Yestarday we welcomed a new member to the family. A 4 weeks old kitten named 'Floortje'. It's still a bit young to be on its own but trust me, it is being taken care of very nicely.

Yesterday I was crawling through some old backups I found on 3½-inch FDD disks (for the kiddies: those hard plastic things about 3½-inch wide used to store 1.44MB of data on them) and for as far I could see I made my first website on September 15th, 1995. This means that I can now celebrate my 13th year as a web developer.

I remember surfing to the Playboy website to see the first photos on the web. Yes, they were one of the first websites to publish full color photos on their site. You had to be very patient because it took about a minute for just on lousy 60 by 80 pixels image, but hey, girls in lingerie are the best and I was 17 years old at that time ;)

My first web project was a sample I wrote for school to show my classmates that you could store data on another computer and look it up in class. I created some plain html files with a few lines from a course book and everyone liked it. From that time on I knew where my future path would lead me.

Een tijdje geleden liepen er plots een aantal kittens in onze tuin. Ach ja, tussen al die technische momenten kan, kijken naar kleine katjes, al eens rustgevend zijn.
